Your mission
As Logistics and Transport Coordinator (m/f/d), you manage the operational transport and logistics processes in the Battery Recycling sector and support the development of our logistics infrastructure.
  • You are responsible for the operational management of our transport and logistics processes – from the delivery of used batteries to the shipment of recycled raw materials – and ensure that our material flows run efficiently and in compliance with regulations.
  • You coordinate collaboration with freight forwarders, carriers, and logistics partners and support the development of a high-performance network.
  • You plan and coordinate national and international transport operations, taking into account time, cost, and quality requirements.
  • You familiarize yourself with the specifics of dangerous goods and waste transport (ADR, IMDG, IATA) and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • You handle dispatch and shipment tracking and support the preparation of freight documents, dangerous goods declarations, and customs documents.
  • You actively contribute to building the logistics infrastructure for our production site in Dormagen – from ramp concepts to delivery schedules and traffic flow optimization.
  • You support the monitoring of logistics KPIs (delivery reliability, transport costs, CO₂ footprint) and help continuously optimize our processes.
Your profile
  • You have completed training as a freight forwarding and logistics services merchant, logistics merchant, or comparable qualification.
  • You bring initial professional experience in operational logistics, freight forwarding, or transport management – ideally in industry, chemicals, or the automotive sector.
  • You have basic knowledge of dangerous goods and waste law (ADR, IMDG, IATA) or are motivated to familiarize yourself with these topics. Dangerous goods officer training is an advantage.
  • You have already worked with ERP systems and MS Office; experience with Transport Management Systems (TMS) is a plus.
  • You work in a structured, solution-oriented manner and have a strong cost awareness.
  • You communicate confidently in German and English – both internally and with external partners.
  • You bring a hands-on mentality and are eager to actively shape processes in a dynamic scale-up environment.
  • You are willing to travel between our Aachen and Dormagen locations as well as to service providers.
  • You share our passion for sustainability and want to actively shape the circular economy.

About us
cylib is a research-based German scaleup for holistic battery recycling - starting from discharging to recovery of all components of the lithium battery - that was founded in Aachen in 2022 by three visionary founders, including a female CEO.

Our process

The cylib process offers a complete end-to-end process from battery pack to green battery material by employing a combination of mechanical and thermal pre-treatments and an innovative water-based lithium and graphite recovery. Unlike incumbents, cylib can therefore recover battery materials such as lithium, graphite or manganese. The process was developed over several years of research at the renown RWTH Aachen University and offers an efficient, resource- and climate friendly recovery of all battery materials from end-of-life batteries.

cylib's technology enables the recovery of all battery components regardless of whether it is an end-of-life battery or not. Recovery of green secondary raw materials from the cylib process enables the realization of the true Circular Economy on the European market.
