About this role

As a Junior M&A Analyst specializing in Deal Sourcing, your primary responsibility is to identify and assess potential opportunities. You will play a pivotal role in researching, qualifying, and maintaining the deal pipeline for our organization.

This is what you will do

  • Find suitable deals: Conduct thorough online research to identify potential acquisition targets, emerging trends, and market opportunities. Utilize various databases, industry publications, and market intelligence sources.
  • Evaluate the deals: Develop a structured process for screening and qualifying potential deals based on strategic fit, financial health, and alignment with the company's growth objectives.
  • Build relationships: Reach out to the prospects to learn about their business and gather key information about them by engaging in meaningful conversations via online meetings, calls, and emails.
  • Manage the deal pipeline: Maintain a well-organized and up-to-date deal pipeline, tracking the progress of each opportunity from initial discovery through to the negotiation stage.
  • Project Management: Arrange introductory meetings, calls, or discussions with target companies and their representatives. Act as the liaison between our organization and potential acquisition partners.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records and documentation of deal sourcing activities, ensuring that all relevant information is accessible to the broader M&A team and senior management.

This is what you will need to succeed

  • You are a student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master鈥檚 degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management, Business Administration, Business Informatics, etc., or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Research and analytical skills, with proficiency in using online databases and research tools.
  • Familiarity with and/or willingness to learn about mergers and acquisitions processes and deal structures.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities to manage multiple leads simultaneously.
  • High IQ and high EQ personality with excellent interpersonal and communication skills for building and maintaining relationships with external parties.
  • A multi-lingual background speaking French, Italian, or Spanish in addition to excellent English. German is a bonus.
