Upvest, founded in 2017, enables any financial institution to offer great investment experiences to its customers. Upvest is an investment firm regulated by the German supervision authority (BaFin). The company currently employs 160+ people across Europe with its headquarters based in Berlin, Germany.

The company is backed by the world’s largest venture capital funds and investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, BlackRock, Earlybird, HV Capital, Notion Capital, and ABN Amro Ventures, as well as by renowned fintech entrepreneurs (including Maximilian Tayenthal, founder of N26, and Felix Haas, founder of IDnow).

We’re looking for fintech enthusiasts to join us in creating the financial infrastructure of tomorrow. We’re building the first European Investment API to enable any financial institution offering a wide range of efficient and transparent investment products, such as stocks and ETFs in nominal, portfolio, and fractional form. Our mission and vision is to make investing as easy as spending money.

We’re based in Berlin but would consider hiring remotely in Germany for this role. If you do want to move to Berlin though, we’re happy to support your relocation.

Your mission:

As Strategy Intern within the Strategy & Org, you are driving our company's growth initiatives and assisting in strategic projects. This role will work closely with Tine, our Chief of Staff and Martin, our CEO, to directly contribute to the successful execution of our business strategies.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Take end-to-end ownership of projects and work on them closely with the Chief of Staff and executive team

  • Support in the definition and execution of our company strategy

  • Prepare business critical presentations addressing the team or external stakeholders (e.g., all-hands, investor presentations)

  • Lead ad-hoc analyses and research

  • Collaborate cross-functionally, supporting the team with external (clients, partners, etc.) and internal (product team, legal team, people team, etc.) stakeholders

    Job requirements:

    • You worked in a fast-paced environment before (e.g., strategy consulting, venture capital, start-ups)

    • You are structured, have very good analytical skills, and know how to solve problems by yourself, allowing you to take ownership and execute projects quickly

    • You have excellent written and oral skills in English (with German a plus)

    • You are hungry to learn & are passionate about the Fintech industry and want to change the investment world to enable more people to invest

    • You have a minimum of 4 months & are based in Berlin
