About Tranched

At Tranched, we lead the way in asset tokenisation, empowering loan originators with superior financing options and providing investors with faster, simpler access. Our platform automates the structuring and management of complex securitisation transactions, bridging traditional finance with cutting-edge technology. Backed by a16z, we are committed to offering accessible, secure, and innovative financial solutions to the real economy. Join us in this financial revolution.

The Internship

This is a six-month engineering internship on our front-end team. You will work in our SvelteKit and TypeScript codebase alongside senior engineers and our founding designer, shipping the interfaces that institutional clients use to manage live securitisation deals. We weigh curiosity and capability over years on a CV, so whether you are mid-degree or a recent graduate, what matters is that you are an eager learner who wants to build the real thing. Several of our current full-time engineers joined us as interns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to our web application in SvelteKit and TypeScript, building user-facing features used by institutional clients.

  • Translate designs into clean, responsive, and accessible interfaces, working closely with our UX/UI designer.

  • Help connect the front end to our back-end APIs (REST and GraphQL) and to on-chain data through our Web3 tooling.

  • Write clean, well-tested, maintainable component code and clear technical documentation.

  • Take part in code reviews and team architecture discussions; the important technical decisions are made together.

Ideal Candidate

You will be a strong fit if you bring:

  • A solid grasp of modern web fundamentals: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.

  • Experience with a modern component framework (Svelte, React, Vue, or similar). We use SvelteKit, and we are happy for you to learn it with us.

  • An eye for detail in the interface: layout, responsiveness, and accessibility.

  • Comfort consuming APIs (REST or GraphQL) from the front end.

  • Familiarity with version control (Git).

  • Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and a genuine eagerness to learn.

  • Clear communication and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Currently studying or recently graduated in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or able to demonstrate equivalent practical ability.

Nice to Have

  • A portfolio, personal projects, or a GitHub profile we can look at.

  • Experience with data visualisation or charting.

  • Curiosity about Web3 / blockchain and on-chain data (viem, ethers, or similar).

  • Interest in AI / LLM tooling in production systems.

What We Offer

  • Real ownership from day one: you ship production code, not throwaway tasks.

  • Close mentorship from senior engineers and our founding designer, with regular feedback and code review.

  • The chance to work at the forefront of applied AI in engineering, and to build a skill set that will define the next decade of how software is made.

  • A front-row seat in the fast-evolving world of asset tokenisation, blockchain technology, and institutional finance.

  • A small, senior team culture built around technical excellence and genuine ownership.

  • Competitive internship compensation.

  • Flexible work hours and remote working opportunities.

  • A strong possibility of converting to a full-time role for the right person; this is how several of our team joined.

The Details

  • Duration: 6 months

  • Location: Hybrid (London, Paris or Amsterdam)

  • Start date: Flexible
