About You
As a special projects manager for Operations, you would be collaborating closely with top management to understand business objectives, identify opportunities, and develop strategic plans. You will lead discussions and facilitate decision-making processes by providing insightful analysis and recommendations. You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organisational goals. You will be conducting thorough research and data analysis to support strategic initiatives and drive informed decision-making. You will develop and maintain detailed project plans, tracking progress and identifying potential risks or roadblocks. You will serve as a liaison between senior management and various stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment of priorities. You will utilise exceptional Excel skills to analyse large datasets, generate reports, and create insightful visualisations. You will create high-quality presentations and reports using PowerPoint, distilling complex information into clear and concise formats for senior leadership. You will proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies within the organisation. You will close the loop on action items and decisions made by senior management, ensuring follow-up and accountability across all levels of the organisation.

Some of the things you’ll be doing:
● Ensuring that product delivery roadmaps from contributing areas and operational readiness activities are aligned to meet programme objectives
● Identifying and resolving or escalating cross-area dependencies, blockers and issues
● Creating and chairing Steering Groups to drive senior decision making and issue resolution
● Orchestrating between business areas and enabling stakeholders
● Communicating progress , risks and issues to internal and external stakeholders
● Managing any programme specific resources not aligned to existing functions
● Managing programme budgets and monitoring business outcomes
● Closing out programmes, including the transition of activities to BAU/production

You’ll be a great fit if:
● You have a B-Tech and MBA degree
● You have extensive experience (minimum 5-8 years) and a demonstrable track record of delivering complex, cross-functional projects or programmes in technology organisations
● You’ve led programmes ranging between tech/product and operational focus, and are happy to apply your experience where it’s needed - we only have a small number of programmes and our programme managers need to to adapt to their demands
● You’re comfortable with ambiguity - we will build frameworks and processes where we need to, but what’s important is delivery and that we move at pace. We may not know exactly how best to manage a given programme. You won’t be spoon-fed and will need to find out what’s needed and where you need to play to be most effective
● You have excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
● You’ll be working with the most junior and the most senior people at Tide - and will need to be equally adept at building relationships with both. You have experience managing external stakeholders as well.
● You have superlative communication skills, both face-to-face and on paper, and you believe in over-investing in communication
● You have experience working in agile delivery environments. We aren’t looking to impose waterfall approaches on our teams and you'll be able to find the right ways of working with them to deliver results (and this may differ across programmes)
● You’re intensely data-driven, you use it to inform your own decisions and to help others to make theirs. You use data to test hypotheses (and take actions or course correct where necessary) and to provide transparency and support arguments rather than relying on anecdotal evidence. You use tools such as PowerBI or Looker to do this (and spreadsheets where you have to!)
● You work with your sleeves rolled up. This isn’t a PMO role, we don’t need project plan jockeys or deliverable chasers - you’ll be deep in the detail and getting your hands dirty
● You’re a master influencer - none of the people you will need will work for you (but everyone will want to succeed!)

You’ll be a great fit if:
● You’ve worked in financial services and/or a scale-up environment
● You have project or programme management accreditation
● You have experience with enterprise programme management solutions such as Jira
Advanced Roadmaps/Align or Aha!
What you’ll get in return:
• Competitive salary
• Self & Family Health Insurance
• Term & Life Insurance
• OPD Benefits
• Mental wellbeing through Plumm
• Learning & Development Budget
• 15 days of Privilege leaves
• 12 days of Casual leaves
• 12 days of Sick leaves
• 3 paid days off for volunteering or L&D activities
• Stock Options
