What we’re looking for:

As a Lead Data Analyst you’ll be working in the Fraud Analytics and Insights team at Tide. You will need to be organised and be able to remain calm under pressure to carry out this role efficiently. Also, you will analyse transactions, gather evidence, and work closely with internal teams and external partners to detect and prevent fraudulent activities, protect customer assets, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will use your communications skills to communicate with Tide stakeholders and resolve their queries in a timely manner with data driven solutions. You will use your interpersonal skills with many of Tide’s internal and external stakeholders and take initiative in a very busy, and always changing work environment.

As a Lead Data Analyst you’ll be:

  • Collecting, analysing, and interpreting large volumes of financial data to identify patterns, trends and suspicious activities related to financial crime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their business requirements and implement data-driven solutions.
  • Develop statistical models and algorithms to detect and prevent fraudulent activities and money laundering.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant banking regulations, laws, and industry standards related to fraud prevention, reporting, and customer protection. Stay updated on regulatory changes and communicate any necessary updates to the appropriate teams.
  • Demonstrate initiative by proactively designing a business case and dedicating long-term effort towards its execution.
  • Conduct deep-dive investigations into suspicious activities and report findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Design and develop KPIs, KRIs, and metrics for fraud prevention and detection.
  • Monitor and analyse data from multiple sources to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.

What makes you a great fit:

  • You are having 5+ years of experience as a Data analyst, ideally within the financial crime domain (detection and prevention) of the fintech industry.
  • You are able to show a keen interest in Transaction Monitoring, Financial Crime or Fraud. Understanding of financial crime prevention frameworks, regulations and best practices such as payments fraud is a plus.
  • You have proficiency in using data analysis tools like SQL/ Python and data visualisation tools like tableau,looker etc.
  • You have experience working with and understanding DS models
  • You have strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into clear and concise specifications.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
