Head of Product, Partner Credit Finance

About you

We’re looking for an experienced Head of Product with previous experience in the B2B market to help us build the platform that connects mirco and small businesses with the funding that they need. The successful candidate will work as part of a team that embraces our ambition to support the UK’s SMEs and help as many customers as possible get the right finance, through effective technology and human conversations.

We are looking for a Product leader to drive the transformation of the team as we continue to scale our technology and accelerate our growth. We are digital first, with the human touch. You’ll be familiar with key customer needs, key players, and market dynamics. You have previously built and led a team of senior product managers.

You’ll have extensive expertise working in collaboration with key stakeholders across the organisation – including engineering, marketing, product design, data, operations, finance – to ensure alignment and support for growth initiatives.

Ultimately, you’ll make sure we have the product capability and capacity to deliver on ambitious growth plans for our products.

Some of the things you’ll be doing:

  • Developing strategic product positioning, value proposition and messaging informed by user research, market insights, and product understanding to deliver for our member’s needs.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a growing team of experienced product managers
  • Using deep product knowledge of partner credit to identify specific opportunities to drive positive results (eg: where do customers drop off in the funnel, what can be done to address this, what gaps exist and how can we close these?)
  • Working with business, product, sales, product design, engineering, and marketing channel teams to scope the market opportunities in existing and new markets, develop product positioning, and define the go-to-market plan.
  • Managing the internal stakeholders and their requirements along with your vision for the product
  • Defining the best approach for Funding Options to launch new features and products. Create a tested model for channels, positioning and effort. Define and track the right success metrics.
  • Collaborating closely with Product Managers to help inform and guide product roadmaps utilising feedback loops from members, external research and data driven insight.
  • Taking the product roadmap from single feature launches to a holistic, strategic proposition.
  • Define the sequences of features under the overarching proposition to increase the speed to benefit for our customers and Tide’s members.
  • Partnering with growth and engagement Marketing teams to define, execute and scale marketing strategies and tactics across channels to achieve objectives.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams at Tide, execute campaigns that drive awareness, adoption and engagement on an ongoing basis.
  • Applying data and research to every decision you make, and ensure this discipline is followed by all stakeholders at every point

You'll be a great fit if:

  • 10+ years track record of growing successful, customer-centric digital products in a fintech or fast growing technology company
  • A strong people leader, able to build a great team environment working with globally distributed teams with deep expertise in their subject areas
  • Proven track record in mobile user activation and monetization, with extensive know-how in pricing, bundling, tiering, and subscription models
  • A great communicator, able to convey your ideas in a structured and persuasive way to a broad range of stakeholders
  • A deep understanding of product development processes using OKRs and agile frameworks
  • An extreme commercial focus, with prior experience of setting ambitious goals, delivering KPIs and achieving revenue targets for your area.
  • You’re data driven, commercially savvy, passionate about metrics, and open / honest about how your work is performing — and driven to continuously improve it
  • You’re passionate about learning every day and sharing your knowledge and experience every day
