What you’ll be doing

As a Technical Lead at Skyfri, you will play a pivotal role in leading and guiding a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality and innovative data solutions. You will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of projects, providing technical direction, and ensuring the successful execution of data architecture initiatives.

In this role, you will

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of data engineers and scientists.
  • Set and enforce coding standards, best practices, and development methodologies.
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Break down project requirements into tasks and allocate them appropriately among the team.
  • Lead the design and architecture of data solutions, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
  • Provide guidance on the selection of appropriate technologies for projects.
  • Address technical challenges and provide solutions in a timely manner.
  • Act as a point of escalation for technical issues within the team.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality and accurate data through rigorous testing and code reviews.
  • Implement and improve automated testing processes.

In addition, we need you to:

• Have a bachelors' degree in a data-heavy field, or equivalent experience.
• Be fluent in English, our working language.
• Live in (or be willing to relocate to) Oslo, Norway.
• 4+ years as a Data Engineer.
• Strong background working with Databricks (Python) and Azure Data Explore.
• Experience with Data Architecture.
• Experience with C# and .NET are a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
