We’re looking for motivated juniors or fresh graduates to join our QA team for 6 months from January 2025. Help us make our next-gen 3D modeling app the most used CAD solution. These 6 months are designed to challenge you and provide you with hands-on experience and development opportunities. The goal is to set you up for success at the start of your career and potentially offer you a full-time permanent position at the end of this period.

This is not just another graduate program where you end up working on low-priority tasks, or writing boring documentation. This is a program that puts you immediately on the frontline to take our multiplatform (iPadOS, macOS, visionOS, and Windows) application experience to the next level: you will work on prime features that are being used by millions of users.

Within the organization

You’ll join one of the existing Product Engineering teams and will be paired with a Mentor who will help and guide you during the program. Your future team consists of people with various fields of expertise: apart from engineers, you’ll also work with our Product Management and UX Design teams.

The end goal of this program is for you to end up joining and helping us to drive our mission forward: building an iconic CAD app for design professionals. You will be working on major features to create and maintain the best user experience on all platforms.

Pragmatic decisions and approaches help us maintain a good balance between quality and speed. Our cross-functional teams are empowered to make these decisions independently, and QA is an integral part of them at every stage.

What will you do?

Learn by doing:

• Gain understanding of 3D modeling principles.
• Develop expertise in the application domain and functional area progressively.

Active participation in the agile development cycle:

• Collaborate closely with product designers, developers, fellow testers, and project managers.
• Engage in all stages of the development cycle for growth opportunities.

Ultimate goal:

• Identify and spot risks during the development cycle.
• Review system requirements and track app health metrics.
• Find and diagnose bugs.
• Design, maintain, and execute test suites for technical specifications and user requirements.
• Stay updated with new testing tools and strategies, working with an assigned mentor.
• Proactively suggest improvements for the product, technical design, QA, or company processes.

What will you need to be successful?

• Being enrolled in or already have a degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Industrial Design or a related technical field
• Analytical mindset and structural thinking to manage complex scenarios when testing our world-class CAD application
• Inherent drive for personal and professional growth, not being afraid to ask questions to get yourself unblocked
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of delivering high-quality solutions
• Constructive attitude and the ability to build professional relationships within cross-functional teams
• Humbleness and determination to go the extra mile
• Work at least 30 hours/week with flexibility to match your studies
• Strong communication skills in English, our language at work
• Experience in mobile application testing and 3D design are advantages, but not requirements

How do the first 6 months look like at Shapr3D?

Your most important assets in assuring quality at Shapr3D will be the deep understanding of our product and domain. The first couple of weeks of your onboarding will mainly focus on learning and understanding our product and processes, after which you’ll gain more and more autonomy and independence. You’ll be guided and mentored by experienced testers throughout the whole onboarding process.

Now let’s fast forward 6 months into the future. You have verified the design and implementation of multiple features and participated in the release process on all of our supported platforms. You’ve had countless occasions where you gave input to solving specific problems. You’ve also received numerous pushbacks and feedback from your teammates which eventually led to a better outcome. You’ve learned tons of new things during this period, and your work and contributions have inspired others to do the same.

  Please note that unfortunately we can not provide VISA support for this position. Nevertheless, if you have a student VISA in Hungary, you can work for a limited amount of hours per week. In that case, if you end up receiving an offer for a full-time position after the program, we'll be able to support your VISA.
