We’re looking for motivated juniors or fresh graduates interested in software quality assurance to join Shapr3D for 6 months from January 2024. If you are still in university or freshly graduated, join our Apple Design Award winning team as a Junior QA Specialist and learn from the best in their field!

These 6 months are designed to challenge you and provide you with hands-on experience and development opportunities. The goal is to set you up for success at the start of your career and potentially offer you a full-time permanent position at the end of this period. This is not just another graduate program where you end up working on low-priority tasks, or writing boring documentation. This is a program that puts you immediately on the frontline to take our multiplatform (iPadOS, macOS and Windows) application experience to the next level: you will work on prime features that are being used by millions of users.

Within the organization

You’ll join one of the existing Product Engineering teams and will be paired with a Mentor who will help and guide you during the program. Your future team consists of people with various fields of expertise: apart from engineers, you’ll also work with our Product Management and UX Design teams.

What will you do?

First and foremost, you’d be doing a lot of 3D modeling. And while doing so, you’d gain expertise in the application domain and functional area more and more as you go. You’d actively participate in all stages of the agile development cycle, which means you’d work closely with product designers, developers, fellow testers, and project managers.

We’d count on your eagle eye in spotting and identifying risks during the development cycle, and you’d also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics. You develop functional and technical knack in bug fixes so you will be able to find and diagnose bugs. You’d design, maintain, and execute test suites for technical specifications and user requirements. You will be up to date with new testing tools and test strategies. Of course, we don’t expect you to do all these things by yourself. You will be backed by a seasoned Senior QA Specialist helping you every step of your journey.

And if you see any room for improvement in the product, the technical design, or the processes, your ideas are always welcome.

What will you need to be successful?

• Being enrolled in or already have a degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical field
• Excellent logical-analytical skills
• Curiosity and being excited to solve open-ended challenges and find innovative solutions to challenging problems
• Positive attitude and the ability to build great relationship within cross-functional teams
• Techy expertise and eagerness to learn any software in minutes
• Being comfortable with working in a highly agile environment
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of delivering high-quality solutions
• Work at least 30 hours/week with flexibility to match your studies
• Confident English skills, both written and verbal
• Expertise in 3D modeling is a plus
• Testing experience is a big plus

A sneak peek into our stack...

• We’re releasing our product to 3 platforms: iPadOS, macOS, and Windows, and while all of the three share our cross-platform CAD engine at their cores, each has its own platform-specific UI logic
• We test manually on target hardware; we employ a device pool covering iPads, Macs, and Surfaces from low to high-end devices
• With the release of our keyboard and mouse support, we are covering a wide array of input devices during testing: all versions of the Apple Pencil, MS Pens, multi-button mouses and Magic Mouses, various trackpads, touch input, virtual, built-in, and Bluetooth keyboards
