🚀 About us

We’re a fast-growing Seed-stage startup building the next-generation search engine designed for AI and LLM applications. We are building a product which will operate on clusters of 1,000+ machines, processing petabytes of data and powering large-scale retrieval for production AI workloads.
We’re looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to help build and scale the core systems that everything else depends on. This is a rare opportunity to own foundational infrastructure end-to-end and shape how modern AI systems interact with the web at massive scale.

🎯 Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain our core infrastructure, including Kubernetes, cloud environments, CI/CD systems, and internal tooling.
Support and expand the scaffolding currently being built by our founding engineers, ensuring long-term reliability and maintainability.
Build automation that enables the entire engineering team to move fast and safely.
Implement best-in-class observability, monitoring, and alerting across all services.
Collaborate closely with engineers working on crawling, indexing, vectorization, and search.
Improve developer experience, build internal tooling, and help scale our production environment.
Ensure world-class system reliability, performance, and scalability.

📋 Requirements

Strong experience with Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), and CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions).
Proven experience designing, operating, or scaling large-scale infrastructure systems.
Solid understanding of observability, reliability engineering, automation, and systems optimization.
Proficiency in Python or another scripting language to build internal tooling.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.

💡 Nice-to-Haves

Experience with ML-Ops, GPU orchestration, or large-scale distributed compute.
Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes operators).
Experience supporting early-stage or fast-moving engineering teams.
Exposure to batch processing frameworks, distributed jobs, or orchestration systems.
Familiarity with Rust or interest in systems engineering.

🛠️ Example Projects You Might Work On

Build and scale the Kubernetes-based platform that powers our entire search and ML pipeline.
Implement end-to-end observability for mission-critical distributed systems.
Develop CI/CD pipelines that allow us to ship and operate code across thousands of nodes.
Automate cluster management, resource scheduling, deployments, and environment provisioning.
Collaborate with crawling, indexing, and vector-search teams to support production workloads at massive scale.

🎁 What We Offer

Competitive salary and equity package.
Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-growing startup.
A supportive, collaborative, and diverse work environment.
Flexible work hours and remote work options (anywhere compatible with US-EU timezones).
Professional development and continuous learning opportunities.
Comprehensive benefits package, including US health insurance, US 401k, flexible time off and more.
We're happy to sponsor international candidates (e.g., STEM OPT, OPT, H1B, O1, E3).
