The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll delve into the complexities of clinical trial data to transform insights into strategic innovations for our platform. You will play a key role in designing and implementing software solutions, building and scaling our product, and integrating cutting-edge machine learning applications to improve trial outcomes.
To succeed in this role, you should have a passion for iterative product development and possess a strategic, analytical mindset. Our stack
Some technologies we use today: Typescript, React, Java, Spring, Postgres, GPT-4, AWS, Kubernetes.
There's no need to be a prior expert in our stack; it's more important that you learn new technologies quickly.
Working Model: This role is based on-site in our Zürich office

Responsibilities
- Own the architecture, development, and deployment of key projects across the full stack, including front-end, back-end, cloud services, and machine learning
- Provide technical leadership to help us design and build a scalable architecture capable of supporting our growth to a multi-million dollar business
- Level up your teammates by providing mentorship and guidance
- Coordinate closely with sales and customer success teams to ensure technical developments align with customer needs and business objectives
- Address and resolve system performance and scalability challenges to maintain and improve the reliability and efficiency of our infrastructure

Hiring Process
Our hiring process takes 2-4 weeks over four distinct stages:
- Meet and greet: Start with a 60-minute discussion with Tiago, our CTO, to introduce you to Rivia and discuss the role in detail.
- High-level technical session: 60-minute interview to delve into high-level technical concepts and your problem-solving approaches.
- Get to know you: a 30-minute conversation with Erik, our CEO, to align on vision, values, and your potential impact at Rivia.
- Meet the team: Join us at our Zürich office for a visit that includes a team lunch and an in-depth technical interview to explore our mutual fit.
