The role

We're looking for Frontend Software Engineers to help us build a world-class payment platform. You’ll play a key role in growing the business through executing our product vision and ensuring the way we build is safe and secure.

Who you are

A dynamic self-starter and rock-star developer who wants to build a business, not just work for one. You’ll have:
3+ years of experience working as a software engineer, ideally in a startup environment
Experience in one or more parts of our current tech stack
Good communication skills and able to clearly describe technical solutions in terms of customer value
Experience translating business and product objectives into technical goals
Confident stakeholder communication, both internal and external
Experience in payments or financial technology is a plus, but not required

Effective communication: The asynchronous and remote nature of our organization makes written and verbal communication that much more important. A well-crafted Slack message can save you (and the company) a lot of time.
Teamwork: A problem for one is a problem for all, and a problem shared is a problem halved. You are responsible for carrying your own weight and applying yourself wherever you feel your team needs you the most. Asking for help or guidance is highly encouraged and appreciated – it shows that you care. Questions lead to discussions which lead to more shared knowledge and a lower bus factor.
Ownership: Our engineering culture is self organising. We do not have project managers or anyone looking over your shoulder. Your CTO is there to guide you and evaluate your performance, but it is up to you to own your work and your career.
Grit: When things don't work out as we planned, it is vital that we have the grit to overcome our obstacles. Failure is a better teacher than success and we encourage open-minded discussions on our technical and non-technical issues. We value intellectual honesty - acknowledging faults is the only way to know where to improve. We try to foster a culture of improvement and we always aim to be better than we were yesterday.
