Role Summary – Process and Materials Technician

This role is central to the processing and characterisation of products at Poro Technologies Ltd.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate within a cleanroom environment to process products ranging from low‑volume R&D batches to higher‑volume established products. Follow SOPs and work instructions, and support the development of new procedures alongside process engineers.
• Work safely and efficiently, using required PPE and maintaining high housekeeping standards to ensure a safe workspace and strong product yields.
• Handle wafers with care to achieve high yields and low scrap rates.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to provide feedback, troubleshoot issues, and support yield investigations.
• Understand and meet daily and weekly production targets while maintaining product and process quality through defined QC procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement within the processing team, adopting a flexible approach to duties and raising issues proactively across the organisation.
• Ensure all work complies with the company’s quality management system and contribute to its ongoing development.

Skills & Experience

• Scientific or engineering background, or equivalent experience.
• Strong organisational skills and a structured approach to record‑keeping.
• Ability to use optical inspection tools and carry out fine assembly tasks.
• Willingness to learn and adapt as products and processes evolve.
• Hands‑on, proactive mindset suited to an agile and dynamic environment.
• Motivation to grow and develop within a fast‑changing business.
