Position overview
Orakl Oncology bridges patients & hospitals and the oncology industry, to put the patient in the center of drug development. The platform builds on Orakl Oncology wide collection of tumor avatars, combining patient tumor samples and matched patient clinical and molecular data. This unique asset allows us to extract precious information and generate transformative insights for our internal research teams and for our partners. We are seeking a exceptional Head of Partnerships to build new strategic partnerships, that will be critical to ensure a fast and long-term expansion of this asset and ultimately of our programs.
Responsibilities
As the Head of Partnerships, you will:
Design and execute the supply-side strategy to grow Orakl avatar collection, map the relevant partners in France and abroad (including but not restricted to academic institutes, hospitals and CROs), and explore innovative strategies
Connect with these partners, build trust, identify and prioritize potential partnership opportunities
Establish new strategic partnerships for data and biological samples transfer with these partners. This includes understanding of each party’s requirements, negotiating agreements, IP, financials, with tech transfer offices, researchers/physicians and other partners, with the support of Orakl management and legal counsel
Manage and nurture current and future partnerships to ensure day-to-day engagement, efficient execution and a long-term relationship
Monitor and evaluate the performance of partnerships, tracking key metrics and milestones to measure impact and effectiveness
Collaborate closely with Orakl R&D, financial and legal teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of partnership initiatives
Represent Orakl Oncology in scientific and business conferences, enlarge network and build trust with cancer centers and physicians/KOLs.
Participate in building Orakl Oncology’s long term development strategy
This position reports directly to our consulting CBO and to our CEO and also needs to work effectively and collaboratively with the teams at Orakl Oncology responsible for wet lab experimentation, data management, finances and regulation.
If successful, the candidate will grow to be a strategic team member and will drive the development of the Orakl Oncology partnership team.
Need-to-Haves
3+ years of experience of managing the dealing/licensing (data and/or samples) with hospitals/academic centers and the pharma industry/startups, in France and/or abroad
A solid track record of successfully establishing and managing partnerships with these institutions for data licensing and/or biological samples
An understanding of the regulatory requirements for data and/or samples acquisition
A passion to understand both partners needs
The ability to work in a intensely multidisciplinary environment
Exceptional collaboration an communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
Flexibility to travel for conferences and for partnerships management
Fluency in French, proficiency in English
A strategic vision with the ability to identify challenges and opportunities and propose development plans
Nice-to-Haves
MD, PharmD, MSc, PhD degree or equivalent in biomedicine or any other related field, or business degree with experience in the healthcare industry
A passion for innovation and for the intersection of data, biology and the clinic
Experience of team management
