We strive to make energy free for European households. We achieve this by developing new energy products with Europe’s leading technology companies and embed energy as a cost-saving feature for electric vehicles, heat pumps, battery storage systems and more.

About the team

Started by Stefan and Nils in 2024, the Nomos team now consists of former researchers, founders and senior engineers united by a deep frustration of the current energy system and the vision to build a category leading enterprise out of Europe.

We strive to build a strong culture of effective communication, ownership and belonging. In this critical phase of our venture this translates to working in-person in Berlin Mitte with a group of people that value meritocracy, curiosity and craftsmanship.

What you'll do

Running a full-stack energy retailer requires more than engineering. Finance, legal, recruiting, customer support, regulatory & partner management: the commercial surface area grows with every customer we onboard. Our current roles reflect the challenges we've prioritized. If you believe you can help us deal with complexity outside these roles, this job description is for you. Some of the challenges on our radar: scaling recruiting as we grow, building legal infrastructure for a regulated industry, designing customer support that actually delights, managing an increasingly complex partner landscape.

You'll own problems end-to-end. We'll figure out together where your skills create the most leverage, then you take it from scoping to execution. Fast, thoroughly, and to a standard you're proud of.

Your scope will shift. You'll help shape how we operate alongside your core work. What matters most in month one will look different in month six. That's expected.

Who you are

We are primarily interested in your motivation and ability to grow. We value grit and ambition above experience and expertise. While there is no perfect candidate, the points below give you an indication of what we are looking for:

• You don't fit our other roles, but you know you belong here. Maybe your background is in banking, maybe it's in legal, maybe it's something we haven't thought of. You've looked at what we're building and you see where you can make a difference.

• You learn unreasonably fast. You can go from knowing nothing about a domain to understanding what great looks like within days. You talk to people who've done it before, think from first principles, and then execute with conviction.

• Your working style could be described as "kind and charming but ruthless". You build trust quickly and people enjoy working with you. But when something needs to get done, you don't let politeness get in the way of progress.

• You are allergic to phrases like "that's how things are done around here", "that's not possible" and "no".

• You care deeply. You notice the broken process nobody mentioned. You don't care if something is "your job" or not. If it matters, you own it.

• You've proven yourself in a high-performance environment. 2+ years in a high-growth startup, consulting, professional sports, investment banking, or high-end hospitality. Somewhere where the pace was relentless and excuses didn't fly. German fluency (C1+) is required.

Compensation Range: €75K - €100K
