About Nomos

We strive to make energy free for European households. We achieve this by developing new energy products with Europe’s leading technology companies and embed energy as a cost-saving feature for electric vehicles, heat pumps, battery storage systems and more.

About the team

Started by Stefan and Nils in 2024, the Nomos team now consists of former researchers, founders and senior engineers united by a deep frustration of the current energy system and the vision to build a category leading enterprise out of Europe.

We strive to build a strong culture of effective communication, ownership and belonging. In this critical phase of our venture this translates to working in-person in Berlin Mitte with a group of people that value meritocracy, curiosity and craftsmanship.

What you’ll do

Make it look easy. Scaling a full-service electricity retailer is no small feat. You will be pivotal in servicing our customers (aka getting your hands dirty), defining core processes and ultimately delivering simplicity by dealing with the underlying complexity.

Own special projects from day one. Whether it's improving internal processes, handling critical ops tasks, or tackling one-off challenges, you’ll have the autonomy to own initiatives end-to-end and execute fast & effectively.

• Own our energy infrastructure processes, managing relationships with grid operators, energy suppliers and transmission system operators.

• You’re the person between a signup and a happy customer: Monitor Nomos OS, troubleshoot clearing cases and define processes for effective operations.

• Build automations to simplify procurement and customer service processes.

• Be a learning machine! We want you to grow with us and solve hard challenges that lie outside your comfort zone.
  

Who you are

We are primarily interested in your motivation and ability to grow. We value grit and ambition above experience and expertise. While there is no perfect candidate, the points below give you an indication of what we are looking for:

Your working style could be described as “kind and charming but ruthless”. You build trust quickly and people enjoy working with you. But when something needs to get done, you don't let politeness get in the way of progress.
You learn unreasonably fast. You can go from knowing nothing about a domain to understanding what great looks like within days. You talk to people who've done it before, think from first principles, and then execute with conviction.

You are allergic to phrases like “that’s how things are done around here”, “that’s not possible” and “no”.

You care deeply. You notice the broken process nobody mentioned. You don't care if something is "your job" or not. If it matters, you own it.

You've proven yourself in a high-performance environment. You gained work experience in a high-growth startup, professional sports, investment banking, or high-end hospitality. Somewhere where the pace was relentless and excuses didn't fly. German fluency (C1+) is required.
