The Position

Title: Telesales Representative

Reporting to: MoPhones Area Sales Manager
Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Description

As a Telesales Representative, you will be responsible for converting leads into prospects by contacting potential customers, educating them about Mophones’ products, and guiding them through the sales process. You will need excellent communication skills, an ability to understand customer needs, and the drive to meet and exceed sales targets. You will work closely with the Sales and CX teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Contact leads through calls or WhatsApp messages and convert them into prospective customers.
  • Follow a structured telesales script to introduce products, explain features, and highlight benefits.
  • Educate customers about Mophones’ products, payment plans, and financing solutions.
  • Gather required customer details and submit them accurately through the company’s CRM system.
  • Handle customer objections, concerns, and questions to effectively close sales.
  • Ensure all customer interactions are logged accurately in the CRM for future reference.
  • Collaborate with the credit and logistics teams to ensure smooth processing of customer information for product delivery.
  • Monitor and manage the progress of each lead through the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Meet and exceed monthly sales conversion and lead generation targets.
  • Continuously improve performance by refining sales techniques and staying updated on Mophones’ products and promotions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Manage escalations by coordinating with the Sales Manager or relevant departments.
  • Generate regular sales reports highlighting conversion rates and areas for improvement.
  • Provide feedback to the Sales Manager regarding lead quality, customer challenges, and process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in telesales or customer service roles.

  • Experience in the mobile device or technology sector is an added advantage.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in sales techniques and closing strategies.

  • Familiarity with CRM tools for managing leads and tracking conversions.

  • Ability to handle objections and rejections while maintaining a positive attitude.
