We partner with industry leaders in the Autonomous Vehicle space to redefine fleet management and drive the commercialization of autonomous vehicles. Our mission is to make the world safer and more connected by enabling seamless autonomous transportation. We are the critical final line of defense—ensuring that every vehicle in our fleet is pristine, fully charged, and operationally flawless. At Moove AV, we aren't just moving vehicles; we're keeping the future of mobility safe, efficient, and ready for every rider.
We’re expanding globally and seeking passionate, innovative professionals to join our journey. If you’re ready to be at the forefront of cutting-edge technology and help make mobility safer, more efficient, and accessible, we want to hear from you!
About the Role
As an AV Safety Driver, you'll spend most of your shift behind the wheel - accumulating drive time and mileage on public roads. You are the critical human link between autonomous vehicle technology and its safe, real-world deployment: staying constantly ready to safely disengage and take manual control when needed, and ensuring every journey is conducted in full compliance with all applicable regulations — including LTA requirements, Moove operational standards, and our AV partner's specifications.
This role is ideal for an experienced, safety-focused driver who's comfortable spending long stretches driving, stays calm under pressure, communicates clearly and precisely when something doesn't look right — and takes pride in operating at the highest standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
Operate autonomous vehicles in both manual and autonomous modes, maintaining constant situational awareness and readiness to intervene safely at all times — safety is non-negotiable
Monitor AV system performance via in-vehicle interfaces throughout each run, identifying anomalies and disengagements and feeding clear, structured findings back to engineering and product teams
Execute assigned test routes within a predefined geofence, hitting daily and weekly mileage targets and contributing to map coverage and data quality goals
Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, checking hardware, software, and tires, and documenting any defects
Execute emergency protocols in the event of a system failure or road incident
Manage vehicle charging/refueling as required during shift (exact process TBD)
Exercise sound judgement in adverse weather or environmental conditions, operating within clearly defined thresholds
Submit accurate daily safety logs, incident reports, and near-miss records via Moove's reporting systems; participate in safety reviews and operational debriefs
Represent Moove's standards of safety and professionalism in every interaction — with the public, other road users, and your peers in the operation
Grow with the program — high performers will be considered for an AV Safety Instructor track as our fleet expands, mentoring and certifying the next cohort of drivers
What You’ll Need for This Position
Valid Singapore Class 3 or 3A driving licence, held for a minimum of 5 years with no demerit points in the past 3 years
Minimum 3 years of frequent, active driving on Singapore public roads, either currently in a driving role or having left one within the last 6 months. Must have experience across expressways, CBD, and HDB estates, and be confident driving in all traffic conditions.
Must be a Singapore Citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold a valid work pass
Strong technological proficiency: comfortable with tablets, in-vehicle interfaces, and digital reporting applications
Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Able and eligible to travel internationally for between 4-8 weeks for initial AV training and certification
Must pass a background check, drug screen, driving record review, and Moove's internal driving assessment
Must be available and willing to commit to a fixed shift pattern - early morning, afternoon, or overnight - as part of a 24/7 operation (exact shift TBD)
Preferred Qualifications
Valid TDVL or PDVL
Prior experience in ride-hailing, logistics, commercial transport, or fleet operations
Familiarity with autonomous vehicle concepts, sensor technology, or vehicle telematics
Additional language proficiency (Mandarin, Malay, or Tamil)
