About the Role
As Field Operations Technician, you are responsible for on road vehicle response and fleet continuity. When a vehicle needs physical intervention, whether due to a breakdown, an incident, or a repositioning requirement, you attend, assess, and act. You are the direct link between the remote operations team and the vehicle on the ground.
This is a hands-on field role operating within the fleet operations function. You will respond to live incidents, reposition vehicles across operational zones, support recovery when a vehicle cannot return to depot under its own operation, and coordinate with the remote and depot teams to ensure clean handovers and accurate reporting. You will work on rotating shifts across a 24/7 operation.
What You’ll be Doing
On-Road Vehicle Intervention
Respond to live vehicle incidents, breakdowns, and situations requiring physical intervention on public and private roads
Assess the situation on arrival, take the appropriate action, and communicate clearly with the remote operations team throughout
Safely operate and drive vehicles on public and private roads for deployment, repositioning, and service needs
Ensure every intervention is resolved to the required standard before returning the vehicle to service or coordinating handover to the depot team
Field Operations and Fleet Support
Reposition vehicles across operational zones as directed by the operations team to maintain fleet availability
Support vehicle recovery when a vehicle cannot return to the depot under its own operation
Respond to operational requirements as they arise across your shift, prioritising safety and minimal downtime at all times
Coordinate with depot operations, remote operators, and the Fleet Operations Manager to ensure seamless handovers and accurate status updates
Safety, Compliance, and Reporting
Uphold Moove AV safety standards in every field task, inside and outside vehicles
Complete field reports, incident logs, and documentation accurately and promptly after each response
Follow established SOPs for every intervention type and escalate anything that falls outside standard procedures
Maintain your own vehicle, equipment, and readiness to the standard required for rapid deployment at any point in your shift
Shift and Team Contribution
Work a rotating shift schedule covering morning, evening, and overnight windows, six days on and one day off
Remain reachable and deployable throughout your shift, managing your position and availability in line with operational demand
Adapt to schedule and task changes based on live operational needs and maintain the same response standard regardless of conditions
What You will need for this position
Valid UAE driving licence with a minimum of three years of driving experience and a good driving record.
Good understanding of UAE road regulations, traffic rules, and RTA requirements
Comfortable and confident operating vehicles under varying conditions
Able to assess situations quickly, make clear decisions under pressure, and act without requiring instruction.
Technically comfortable with modern apps, digital systems, and communication platforms.
Strong time management and reliability
Able to work outdoors across varying weather conditions for extended periods
Fluent in English
Prior experience in field operations, logistics, emergency response, or a similar hands-on operational role is an advantage

What Does Success Look Like
Vehicles are returned to service quickly and to the required standard after every intervention
Your field reports are accurate, complete, and submitted without delay
There are zero safety or compliance gaps on your watch
The operations team knows exactly where you are, what you are doing, and can rely on your response.
Downtime caused by on-road incidents is minimised.
