About the Role

The Managing Director – Mexico is a senior leadership role responsible for driving Moove’s strategic direction, operational performance, and growth in the country, ensuring alignment with the company’s global objectives.

This role oversees all local business operations, leads cross-functional teams, and is accountable for key performance indicators, profitability, and market expansion. The Managing Director works closely with the global executive team to ensure effective execution of business strategy and operational excellence.

As the primary representative of Moove in Mexico, the role builds and strengthens relationships with key clients, partners, and local stakeholders, while positioning the company as a leading player in the market. The Managing Director also plays a critical role in identifying new business opportunities and responding to local market dynamics with agility.

In addition, this role is responsible for fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture, promoting innovation, and ensuring the successful development of talent within the organization.


What You’ll be Doing

  • Lead Moove’s business in Mexico, driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and long-term sustainability in a highly competitive market

  • Define and execute the local business strategy aligned with global and regional priorities

  • Build, lead, and scale high-performing, cross-functional teams, fostering a strong culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence

  • Develop and implement launch, operational, pricing, and product strategies to ensure product-market fit (PMF), in collaboration with the Strategy & Planning team

  • Set up, lead, and optimize end-to-end business and fleet operations across the country

  • Manage relationships with local partners, OEMs, clients, regulators, and key stakeholders, acting as the main representative of Moove in Mexico

  • Oversee vehicle procurement, deployment, registration, licensing, and ongoing maintenance in compliance with local and state regulations

  • Ensure full compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational standards across all fleet and business activities

  • Handle escalations and resolve conflicts with customers and partners, ensuring strong service quality and customer satisfaction

  • Drive financial performance by managing budgets, optimizing costs, and maximizing profitability

  • Contribute to financial planning and budgeting processes from a fleet and operations perspective

  • Analyze operational and business data to improve efficiency, performance, and decision-making

  • Monitor driver-partner behavior and ensure a high standard of customer service and supply quality

  • Lead the deployment and quality of the driver-partner supply chain ecosystem

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to execute local growth initiatives and user acquisition campaigns

  • Liaise with regional and global peers to share best practices and optimize operations

  • Foster innovation across products, services, and processes to maintain competitiveness in the market

    Key expected outcomes (6–12 months):

    • Consolidate Moove’s market presence in Mexico with significant user and customer growth

    • Implement robust and scalable operational processes, ensuring service quality and financial efficiency

    • Establish strategic partnerships that accelerate expansion and strengthen the value proposition

What You will need for this position

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in senior executive leadership roles, ideally within mobility, technology, financial services, logistics, consulting, or FMCG environments (startups or high-growth companies preferred)

  • Proven track record in managing P&L responsibility, business development, and high-level commercial negotiations

  • Extensive experience leading and scaling teams (minimum team leadership experience of 3–5+ people or larger cross-functional organizations)

  • Strong background in operations, fleet management, ride-hailing, logistics, or supply chain functions

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields

  • MBA or postgraduate degree is highly desirable (not mandatory)

  • Strong understanding of the Mexican market and regulatory environment; regional LATAM experience is a plus

  • Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal); additional languages are a plus

  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and data-driven decision-making skills

  • Highly tech-savvy and comfortable working in data-centric, fast-paced environments

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute growth strategies across new products and geographies

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in complex environments

  • Strategic thinker with a strong results orientation and execution focus

  • Proven ability to lead with integrity, ethics, and accountability

  • Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
