About the Role

The role of Managing Director at Moove is a senior leadership position that entails overall responsibility for driving the company's strategic direction and operational excellence. As the Managing Director, you will oversee various departments, manage key performance indicators, and work closely with the executive team to align business goals with successful execution. Your role involves making critical decisions, fostering innovation, and ensuring the organization's growth while upholding Moove's values and standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and shape the company's trajectory in a dynamic and competitive market.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing relationship with local partners.

  • Building and managing teams.

  • Develop launch and operational strategies to ensure PMF

  • Devise pricing and product strategies in collaboration with the Strategy & Planning team

  • Set-up, Lead, and Scale Moove's business operations in the geography

  • Handling escalations and managing conflict resolutions with our customers

  • Planing, processing, and executing approved vehicle purchases through our partner OEMs.

  • Ensuring fleet operations are in compliance with local and state rules and regulations.

  • Ensuring vehicles are maintained properly.

  • Registering and licensing all vehicles under their management.

  • Finding ways to cut costs and maximise profits.

  • Managing the safety and compliance functions.

  • Contributing to the budgeting process from a Fleet Operations perspective.

  • Liaising with peers within the region & company to share knowledge and optimise operations.

  • Monitoring driver behaviour and ensuring a high level of customer service.

  • Analysing data to increase business operational efficiency.

  • Lead deployment and quality of supply chain (i.e. Moove Driver-partners)

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to initiate creative local strategies and user growth campaigns

What you will need for this position

  • Degree in Logistics or Mechanical Engineering or Management.

  • Prior team management experience, of team sizes 3-5 people atleast.

  • Ideally 10+ years of similar experience in consulting, operations across fleet, ride hailing, logistics or supply functions in startups

  • Candidates must have excellent communication skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English.

  • Candidates must have strong negotiation skills

  • Outstanding organisational skills.

  • Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills.

  • Candidates will be subject to analytical test prior to interviews

  • Candidates must be tech-savvy and datacentric.

  • MBA will be a preferred, but not a mandatory requirement

  • Growth mindset to scale up products and new geographies

  • Monthly P&L output - Actuals vs Targets

  • Weekly Fleet Utilisation % of the fleet - Actuals vs Targets

  • Driver Full Deposits in hand

  • Monthly Recovery % against fleet size

  • Cash Collection % against receivables

  • City Driver Partner satisfaction score

  • Fleet Safety - Telematics & Cameras

  • Overall Fleet Growth
