mimic robotics is an early stage deep tech robotics & AI start-up based in Zurich and supported by leading VCs. Our automation solutions, driven by dexterous robotic hands and cutting edge AI trained on human observations, bring a new level of AI embodiment to the real world.
The Role
We are looking for a passionate and talented Electronics Engineer to join our team as a full-time intern. As part of the electronics team, you will have direct, hands-on involvement in the development of our dexterous robotic hand. You will work closely with both the robotics and hardware teams, pushing our robots to their limits while gaining hands-on exposure to a fast-paced startup in the rapidly evolving generative-AI and humanoid-robotics space. The initial contract is for 6 months, with the potential for extension.
Requirements
- Proficiency in at least several of the following technical topics: Embedded software development in C/C++, analog and digital electronics, intra- and inter-system communication protocols, PCB Design, state estimation, actuation, and control algorithms
- High attention to detail and ability to grasp concepts within a broad context including impacts on robotics and AI
- Excellent academic track record
- High motivation and problem-solving ability
- Capable of both working independently and collaborating in a team
- Fluent English speaker
- Proven experience in hands-on prototyping of embedded electronic devices
