Role Overview

We're looking for a Lead Developer Advocate to build our Platforma ecosystem. This position is perfect for someone passionate about fostering engagement of scientific and developer community, driving technological adoption, and supporting groundbreaking scientific endeavors.

What You'll Do

  • Create and curate content that illustrates the power of Platforma in building advanced computational biology applications for researchers
  • Engage with the bioinformatics community to drive the adoption of Platforma, enabling developers of modern compbio tools to deliver them to the biology end-users
  • Be the mediator between the bioinformatics community developing Platforma blocks and biology researchers using Platforma in the life-changing drug discovery
  • Represent our company at various industry events, underlining Platforma's capabilities and our broader contribution to the bioinformatics and biology community
  • Develop training materials, conduct training sessions and workshops to increase technical fluency and self-sufficiency among community members
  • Foster relationships within the bioinformatics and biology communities, leveraging the widespread use and trust in our software by over a thousand organizations, including major players in big pharma, to encourage collaboration and engagement

About You

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Solid background with a minimum of 7 years in software development for production, coupled with a passion for bioinformatics and a knack for community engagement
  • Solid understanding of modern infrastructure architecture for bioinformatics computing, including cloud and high-performance computing clusters
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of promoting technical concepts in an engaging and accessible way
  • Experience in public speaking and community organization, with a talent for creating and leading impactful events
  • A collaborative spirit, ready to work with teams across the company and the community to promote Platforma and its suite of tools
