The Role

As a Robotics Engineer Intern, you’ll work hands-on with our ROS 2 stack to advance perception, SLAM, and navigation for various types of robots. You’ll contribute to focused components that strengthen the reliability and autonomy of our robotic platform. You’ll ship code that runs in the field and learn how to productize research-grade robotics.

This role is highly practical: you’ll help build, test, and refine navigation and mapping pipelines, ensure robust ROS 2 integrations, and follow strong engineering practices with Docker and modern workflows. You’ll gain exposure to cutting-edge field robotics while working alongside our core engineering team.

What You'll Work On

  • Implement and test SLAM modules for mobile robot navigation.
  • Develop and evaluate perception pipelines for obstacle detection and localization.
  • Contribute to ROS 2 integrations, message passing, and QoS tuning.
  • Support navigation stack improvements including path planning and control.
  • Apply good software practices: Dockerized workflows, clean documentation, and reliable testing setups.
  • Who We're Looking For

    We're looking for a motivated robotics student who’s excited to apply their academic training in a fast-moving startup. You’ll be surrounded by a team that values learning, experimentation, and building things that actually work in the real world.

    Your Background:

  • You are currently pursuing and recently completed a Master’s degree in Robotics (or a closely related field).
  • Hands-on experience with ROS 2 and Linux-based development.
  • Familiarity with SLAM, path planning, or robot navigation algorithms.
  • Comfortable using Docker and version control (Git) in your workflows.
  • Good coding skills in C++ and/or Python.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to get robots moving in the real world.
  • Nice to Have:

  • Experience with advanced ROS 2 navigation stack configurations.
  • Exposure to Visual-Language Action (VLA) models or embodied AI research.
  • Background with mobile robots, simulations (Gazebo, IsaacSim), or real hardware tests.
