The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Talent and People Partner to help us attract world-class technical talent while also supporting broader people-related topics as Emmi AI scales.

This is a hybrid role that combines hands-on ownership of technical hiring, particularly for AI research and engineering profiles, with a people partnership scope focused on supporting managers and employees, shaping people processes, and contributing to a strong, scalable culture.

You will play a key role in shaping both who we hire and how we build and support our team, working closely with leadership across the organization and contributing directly to Emmi AI’s long-term growth and success.

You will:

• Own and build scalable hiring foundations and systems from scratch, setting the groundwork for long-term growth

• Design and execute creative sourcing and engagement strategies to attract high-bar technical talent, with a strong focus on AI research profiles

• Build a high-quality, fast, and thoughtful candidate experience, with a strong focus on AI research profiles

• Partner with hiring managers and members of the C-suite, including the CSO and CTO, to deeply understand the roles, the work, and what great looks like

• Help shape and launch Emmi AI’s brand within the AI/ML communities to attract top talent

• Track what works, iterate fast, and constantly improve our hiring approach

• Support managers and employees on selected people-related topics (e.g. onboarding, feedback, performance, growth,etc)

• Support in shaping and implementing PeopleOps processes as we scale, learning and applying local labor law along the way

About you :

• Proven experience hiring for high-caliber technical roles, ideally in deep tech or AI

• Strong understanding of how the AI research world works, including academic and industry tracks

• Comfortable working in an early-stage startup environment, with all the speed, ambiguity, and shifting priorities that come with it

• You enjoy chasing hard-to-find profiles, understanding what motivates candidates, and closing top talent

• A bias toward action — you try, learn, fix, and keep going

• Exposure to people-related topics is a plus, or a strong willingness to learn and support HR/people initiatives

• Knowledge of local labor laws in Austria or France is a plus

• Relocation to Vienna or Paris is required
