Job Summary
We are a dynamic organisation, looking for an HR Advisor at CIPD Level 5 to join our team. This role is integral in supporting our growth and ensuring we maintain our commitment to being patient-centred, trusted, client-focused and responsive. Reporting directly to the Chief Medical Officer and working closely with our Senior HR Consultant, the HR Advisor will lead on employee relations, performance management, and learning and development to support our organisation's objectives and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Clearly define and implement key HR processes and policies to support business effectiveness and protect from key risks.
- Provide training and support to Line Managers in effective people management approaches.
- Provide comprehensive HR advice through our HR hotline, supporting managers across the organisation
- Responsible for the management of the HR system - ensuring that data is accurate and can provide insight to business decisions and activities.
- Support and inform the development of an HR Strategy and take ownership of implementation of key projects
- Effective management of employee relations concerns including supporting managers with absence, disciplinary and grievances or other issues.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
- Ensure effective pay benchmarking to attract and retain top talent. .
- Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
- Support the onboarding and induction process including employment checks (ie. right to work, CRB).
Person specification requirements
- CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent experience in HR (with potential to progress to CIPD Level 7 during employment with us)
- Proven working experience as an HR Advisor, HR Consultant, or HR Manager.
- Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organisational planning, recruitment, organisation development, employee relations, safety, employee engagement, and employee development.
- Outstanding listening, empathy, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
- In-depth knowledge of labour law and HR best practices.
- Values alignment: Demonstrates a commitment to being patient-centred, client-focused, trusted, and responsive.
The role is mainly based at home but a degree of travel is required, including travelling to our head office in London
