Deep Render is a Deep Tech startup founded to liberate the world of all bandwidth constraints by pioneering AI-Compression technology. Our compression codecs are based on a fundamental technology shift, representing over 100 years of progress in the industry.

We're leading the way in AI-Compression, having the world's first AI-Codec running in real-time on mobile devices. Our team comes with 50+ years of combined research experience with over 80+ filed patents.

Last year, Deep Render raised its Series A funding round from top-tier investors and is looking to grow its current 35-person team in 2024. We're in commercial engagements with some of the largest Big Tech companies in the world and expect hundreds of millions of people to be using the Deep Render AI Codec very soon.

Role:

The central responsibility of the model engineering team is to orchestrate and manage training of Deep Render's production models. The model engineer position combines applied deep learning research with a strong engineering element. A model engineer will develop and apply cutting edge techniques to train high performant video compression models. On the engineering side, you will directly collaborate with the performance team to support the deployment pipeline of these models to resource constrained devices.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement state-of-the-art deep learning models
  • Work collaboratively to generate ideas and proofs of concepts, pushing compression technology to its limits
  • Work with our ML-OPs and Performance engineering teams to develop real-time hardware implementations

Must have:

  • A Master's degree in Mathematics, Machine Learning, Physics, Computer Science or related field
  • Proficiency using Python (Specifically PyTorch or TensorFlow)

Preferred skills:

  • Experience working with other types of compression or video data
