We're leading the way in AI-Compression, having the world's first AI-Codec running in real-time on mobile devices. Our team comes with 50+ years of combined research experience with over 80+ filed patents.

Last year, Deep Render raised its Series A funding round from top-tier investors and is looking to grow its current 35-person team in 2024. We're in commercial engagements with some of the largest Big Tech companies in the world and expect hundreds of millions of people to be using the Deep Render AI Codec very soon.

Role:

We are seeking a Lead ML Performance Engineer to spearhead our dynamic team in evolving AI-based compression technology. The lead will guide the transition of our codec from GPU-based systems to mobile and mid-range platforms, focusing on performance enhancement. The role demands a strong grasp of neural network optimization, proficiency in entropy coding algorithms, and experience in moving research algorithms to practical use.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct a team to port ML algorithms to edge devices, primarily smartphones.
  • Analyse and optimise algorithm performance, targeting data processing bottlenecks.
  • Implement and supervise the development of high-performance entropy coding algorithms.
  • Employ cutting-edge techniques in neural network optimization.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with teams to ensure the smooth execution of implementation projects.

Must have:

  • Advanced degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in performance optimization, including leadership roles.
  • Expertise in C++ and advanced optimization techniques.
  • Demonstrated leadership in bringing projects from research to deployment.
