Role Summary

CoachHub is looking to bring in a Director of Product & Design to replace the person who is on maternity leave. The position would be available for about 9 months. Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, the Director manages a team of 8 people: 4 Product managers and 4 UX designers.

The Director is responsible for overseeing, leading, and managing feature teams throughout the product development process. The Director plays a critical role in helping feature teams build their quarterly roadmaps and delivering features on time as well as coordinating with other departments on release planning and communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Planning: Execute the product strategy in alignment with the company's goals, ensuring that we are addressing client pain points and adding value such that Sales and Client Success can retain existing clients and win new ones.

  • Team Management and Development: Lead and inspire an 8 person team as well as the larger engineering organization by coaching Product and Design individuals to perform at their best and supporting them to give clear direction and transparent coordination within and across teams.

  • Product Discovery: Ensure that Product Managers and Designers are striking the right balance of research and action to understand problems and validate solutions for the various personas that are our users.

  • Stakeholder Management: Work closely with the CPO, CTO and SVP of Data & Insights to align on product priorities and coordination across teams. Work closely with heads of Sales, Rev Ops, Client Solutions and Coach Relations to ensure they understand what we are delivering and that we capture useful feedback from clients to inform our roadmap.

  • Operational Efficiency and impact: Drive improvements in processes and methodologies, including agile practices and project management to enhance team productivity and product quality. Ensure that we are delivering value that allows us to achieve our KPIs that have been set.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree (or Master’s degree) in business administration, marketing, computer science, software development, design or a related field that is beneficial as a strong foundation for the role of product management

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in leadership roles, with a track record of successfully managing and launching products

  • A solid understanding of product management tools and processes, including proficiency in agile methodologies, product discovery and data analysis

  • A strong understanding of design principles and tools as well as user experience research, processes, and best practices. Knowledge of design systems is a plus.

  • Experience in building and managing high-performing product teams, with business cases and metrics as proof of results

  • Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with experience working in a matrix organization.
