As a Backend Engineer (m/f/d), you will be an integral part of our engineering team. You will be able to influence vital architecture and design decisions and help build up the tech stack of an exciting and extremely product-focused startup. Your tasks and responsibilities are just as demanding as diverse:

• Ship exciting new features to our product
• Tackle technological challenges, embracing opportunities for learning and growth
• Take part in all aspects of the software development cycle
• Taking ownership of the full development lifecycle: designing, implementing, testing, and shipping
• Implement highly performant and scalable components.
• Write clean, understandable, maintainable, and testable code

In particular, we look for:

• A proven track record of at least 3 years of post-degree professional software delivery using JavaScript/TypeScript and as part of an engineering team
• Extensive experience with NodeJS
• Experience with frontend frameworks such as React
• Familiarity with NoSQL database technology like MongoDB
• Ideally previous experience in a startup-like environment
• Self-motivated attitude, energetic & entrepreneurial
• Focused on getting things done rather than perfecting them
• Degree-level education in a technical major, preferably Computer Science
• Excellent communication skills in the English language, both verbal and written
• You are preferably in Berlin and can occasionally work from the office.
