Your mission
As a member of Compliance Operations, your mission will involve balancing the delivery of an exceptional Proof of Funds experience with ensuring robust compliance, while also mitigating any risks of non-compliance to the applicable rules in the anti-money laundering framework. Being a domain owner, you will constantly seek for improvements in our workflows and detect any technical issues that might affect the Proof of Funds and the AML transaction monitoring flows.
What you’ll do
- Conduct the first line of defence (1LoD) in reviewing the Source of Funds and / or Source of Wealth (crypto and fiat) on both B2C and B2B customers, also delivering feedback to the relevant stakeholders, remediating detected issues and preparing internal reports.
- Oversee customers’ financial activity on a transaction-based model, spotting any red flags on users' accounts or related to users’ behaviour and applying relevant measures.
- Investigate Fiat and / or Crypto cases using a variety of tools (i.e. Chainalysis), databases and OSINT, prepare investigation reports and, if necessary, escalate cases to the AMLO, suggesting if a SAR has to be filed or not.
- Provide insight and recommendations for streamlining and enhancing the various activities related to the Proof of Funds and Transaction Monitoring processes.
- Be proactively involved in the ongoing projects aiming at automating the workflows and documenting the processes.
Who you are
- Proven prior work experience in a FinTech company or in management consulting firms or in VASPs with non-face-to-face customers, specifically within the Compliance, AML, Fraud Prevention or Customer Due Diligence departments.
- Comprehensive understanding of all types of financial crime patterns and of the AML / CTF landscape, with proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Cryptocurrency and Blockchain.
- Keen interest in automation to reduce manual work, Business Process Management Systems (BPMS) and Process Design and Documentation (PDD).
- Preference to work afternoons and evenings (3:30pm until midnight), Tuesday to Saturday.
