Test Engineer, Verification & Validation (m/f/d)
Quality Assurance
Munich, Germany
About the Role
As a Test Engineer at ARX Robotics, you are at the heart of our mission to deliver safe, reliable, and effective autonomous systems. This is more than a quality assurance role; it’s an opportunity to be on the front lines, testing our advanced robotic platforms in both the lab and the field to ensure they are ready for real-world challenges.
You will be a key part of a dedicated engineering team, working at the intersection of hardware, software, and AI. If you are a hands-on problem-solver eager to build deep expertise in robotics and make a tangible impact, this role offers a direct path to shaping the future of defense technology.
What You’ll Build
- You will ensure our GEREON UGV platform and Mithra OS perform flawlessly by running structured test cases across hardware and software.
- You will contribute to system integrity by conducting Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL), Software-in-the-Loop (SiL), and critical field-level tests.
- You will gain firsthand experience with our technology by operating and evaluating our robotic platforms in real-world outdoor conditions.
- You will directly influence product quality by supporting functional, integration, regression, and safety testing throughout the system lifecycle.
- You will create and manage the physical and digital environments needed for robust testing, from test rigs to field deployment kits.
- You will provide the clear, actionable insights our teams need by documenting test results and creating concise reports.
- You will help us improve our systems by logging defects and providing detailed findings to support root cause analysis.
- You will collaborate with senior engineers to translate complex requirements into effective test campaigns.
What You Bring
- A hands-on, practical mindset with a genuine enthusiasm for working with physical hardware and in outdoor field-testing environments.
- A foundation in engineering, computer science, systems engineering, or a related field, with up to two years of relevant experience.
- A collaborative spirit and a strong interest in ensuring technology is safe, reliable, and ready for demanding operational use.
- Clear and effective communication skills in English, with additional languages (like German) being a welcome asset.
- A keen eye for detail and a structured, methodical approach to your work.
- A basic understanding of embedded systems, real-time software, or hardware-software integration is a plus.
- Familiarity with test documentation and defect tracking tools is also an advantage.
Please note: You do not need to meet every single requirement to apply. We welcome motivated candidates who are eager to grow into the role and develop their expertise further.
