We are looking for a Senior Mobile Software Engineer to join our Android Mobile SDK team, responsible for creating a reliable platform for collecting sensor data to analyze driving behavior using native Android frameworks to collect phone sensor data as well as information from our proprietary hardware. The role involves developing, releasing, and maintaining high-quality code that is easy to test and extend for new product features, in a collaborative and cross-functional environment.


  • Solve complex problems and transform them into business solutions in collaboration with team members
  • Analyze and translate business and functional specifications and change requests into technical specifications suitable for implementation
  • Able to independently transform complex technical requirement into smaller implementable pieces; able to implement performant software solutions that are maintainable, scalable, reliable and testable
  • Participate in code and design reviews
  • Participate in the hiring process
  • Guide junior developers on proper software development procedures and methods
  • Follow company defined development and operational standards and processes
  • Provide on-call support during business critical emergency scenarios. Support and troubleshoot production issues as needed
  • Complete any additional tasks as they arise


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in a relevant field
  • 4+ years of relevant development experience
  • Proficient in both Java and Kotlin with a strong understanding of concurrency concepts
  • Proficient in building Android mobile applications or delivering Mobile SDKs
  • Solid understanding of software engineering principles, including design patterns and data structures
  • Experience with automated testing techniques (e.g. unit tests, integration tests)
  • Experience with Kotlin coroutines and flows
  • Familiarity with industry-standard third-party Android libraries
  • Solid knowledge of the Gradle build system for Android
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD systems, particularly plus if familiar with Bitrise
  • Experience consuming and/or designing REST APIs
  • Able to troubleshoot issues by analyzing logs
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
