Key Responsibilities

Logistics Management:

• Oversee inbound and outbound shipments both domestically and internationally.
• Manage shipment schedules, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
• Communicate with stakeholders across the supply chain to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.

Contract and Freight Management:

• Handle purchase and sales contract management, ensuring compliance with terms.
• Evaluate and negotiate freight rates and services to optimize transportation solutions.
• Lead the freight execution process, coordinating with internal teams, suppliers, and service providers.

Problem-Solving and Issue Resolution:

• Address and resolve unexpected transportation issues promptly.
• Anticipate potential disruptions and respond proactively to maintain logistics continuity.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality.
• Track performance metrics and key performance indicators to drive efficiency improvements.

Documentation and Auditing:

• Ensure proper documentation is retrieved for all shipments.
• Audit demurrage and detention claims, coordinating with relevant teams to resolve issues.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Maintain daily contact with internal and external stakeholders.
• Foster long-term relationships with customers, vendors, and service providers.

About You

Educational Background:

• A four-year degree in supply chain, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
• Equivalent industry experience may also be considered.

Skills and Attributes:

• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Ability to research, take initiative, and lead within defined parameters.
• Effective team-oriented leadership and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
