The Role: 📷

As a Founding Engineer, you will be the technical backbone of the company. Working directly with the founding team, you will not only build the core technology but also shape the company’s long-term strategy. This is a hands-on role that requires versatility, creativity, strong communication skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset.

What You’ll Do: 📷

As our foundational hire, you’ll take on a broad and impactful role, working across multiple domains:

• Build from the Ground Up: Architect, develop, and deploy the entire technology stack, from secure infrastructure to user-facing applications.
• Product Development: Own, build and deploy products for users such as doctors, patients, and research sponsors from ideation and prototyping to POC, MVP, and production release. From data review platforms to patient portals, you’ll help turn ideas into reality.
• Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and identify opportunities for innovation. Be responsible for collecting requirements, running tests, and collecting feedback.
• Data Extraction from Unstructured Medical Reports: Develop and refine AI systems to parse unstructured health data. Design scalable data models that align with industry standards (FHIR, SNOMED, ICD-10/11) to support clinical studies, real-world evidence generation, and interoperability.
• Infrastructure & Security: Build and maintain a highly secure and auditable infrastructure, using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• 3rd Party Tool Integration: Integrate APIs and third-party tools to ensure smooth workflows for healthcare providers and researchers.

What We’re Looking For: 📷

You should be a versatile engineer with deep technical expertise, a passion for solving complex problems, and strong communication skills. As a startup, we need someone who is excited to wear multiple hats and lead across various technical areas. You don’t have to tick all boxes, but we are looking for the following:

Core Technical Competencies:

• AI & Data Science: Experience with AI Agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and quality management of AI applications.
• DevSecOps: Expertise in Terraform, CI/CD pipelines (Github Actions), Static/Dynamic Application Security Testing (SAST/DAST), and infrastructure security.
• Data Engineering: Familiarity with data warehousing, ELT processes, and data security.
• Medical Informatics: Knowledge of medical ontologies (SNOMED, ICD-10/11, UMLS) and experience working with FHIR data standards.
• Full-Stack Development: Strong web development skills, including experience with backend/frontend development and API integration.

• Cloud Native: We are running all our compute operations on Cloud providers such as GCP and AWS. We expect you to have sufficient proficiency in managing resources that are needed for inferencing and training on cloud products.
• Startup Experience (Nice to Have): Experience working in a startup or early-stage environment is a plus but not a must.
